Yesterday, I said my goodbyes and cleared off my desk and officially wrapped up my year-long fellowship as a copy editor/page designer at The Patriot-News.

I may have only had a job at a real newspaper for just this year, but my first venture into newspaper creation was over a decade ago with the Anna Daily, published in 2001. Chock full of breaking household news, the paper peaked with a circulation of 3.

I think my childhood self would be very pleased to see the progress I made.
